Revoke and create API keys on the Cielo website

The Credentials feature allows you to view the information used to authenticate integrations with the Cielo E-commerce API and generate new credentials when needed.

Through this feature, you can generate new access credentials (Merchant Key or Client Secret), view merchant information, and see the products and microservices linked to the integration.

First access
Even if this is the first time you are checking the merchant's credentials, you will need to generate a new credential to view the integration data.

Required permissions
Credentials can only be managed by users with the Administrator, Technical, or Analyst profile.
To manage access permissions, go to My profile > Access Management.

How to access

On the Cielo Website:

Select the desired merchant (EC);
In the top menu, click E-commerce;
Go to Gestão API E-commerce;
Click Credenciais.

In the Credentials area, you can view:

Merchant ID;
Client ID;
Linked products and microservices;
Date of the last credential generation.

Revoke and Create Credentials

To revoke an existing credential, generate a new credential to replace it.

During this process, you can specify when the current credential will become invalid.

Generate a new credential

To generate a new credential:

On the Credenciais screen, find the credential you want to renew;
Click Gerar nova Merchant Key or Gerar novo Client Secret;
Check the merchant information displayed on the screen;
Select the expiration period for the current credential;
Confirm the operation to generate the new credential;
Complete the operation authentication through the Cielo Gestão app.

Available expiration options:

Immediately: the current credential will be revoked immediately after generating the new credential;
In 1 hour: the current credential will remain valid for 1 more hour;
In 24 hours: the current credential will remain valid for 24 more hours;
In 3 days: the current credential will remain valid for 3 more days;

After authentication is completed, a new credential will be generated and made available for viewing.

The screen displays the generated credential information and provides the Copy option for use in the integration.

Click Copiar to copy the generated credential and use it in the integration.

Warning
Store the new credential in a secure environment. You and your organization are responsible for the protection and management of credentials used in the integration.

Credential update
After generating a new credential:

If your merchant is integrated with Cielo's Gateway de Pagamento, you do not need to update the credentials in the Gateway Admin;

If your merchant uses these credentials in another gateway or platform, contact the responsible provider to update the credentials.

Credential History

Changes made to credentials can be viewed through the history available in the Credentials area.

This history displays information related to the generation and management of the merchant's credentials, including:

Date and time of the action
Responsible user
Impacted products and microservices
Merchant ID or Client ID
Request IP address
