As of 03/01/2025, the card networks will monitor the MCCs used for registering individuals. Therefore, it is important that the MCC sent in each transaction complies with the list allowed for CPF.
If Cielo is notified by the card network about the misuse of an MCC, it will inform the Payment Facilitator, who must immediately correct the MCC of the final establishment.
The application of fines and reversal of operational amounts by the card network is foreseen, which may be passed on to the Payment Facilitator.
