What is TLS/SSL certificate?

The TLS (Transport Layer Security) certificate, also called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), encrypts data transmitted in the browser, such as logins and transaction data. The goal is to ensure a secure session for the end user (the person making a purchase in the online store), maintaining the privacy and integrity of messages and the security of the server.

The API E-commerce Cielo certificates will be displayed on the website information button at the address of your online store. In the padlock, you will be able to see the certificate information, such as the issuing institution and the expiration date:

How to install the certificate on the store server?

You must install the following three files in the server's Trustedstore. Cielo does not provide support for installing the certificate. If you are unsure about how to install the certificate, then you should contact your server vendor's support.

Customer access to the online store

Normally, the browser updates the certificate automatically. If not, follow these steps:

Save the certificate files

Save the three files below in a new folder, or one that you can easily remember, as you will use them later:

Install certificates in the browser

Google Chrome

  1. Go to Configurações> Privacidade e Segurança > Segurança > Gerenciar Certificados. Clique em Importar:
  1. In the Certificate Import Wizard, click Next:

  1. Click on Browse and select one of the three certificate files saved previously (raíz, intermediário or E-commerce Cielo):
  1. Select the desired Certificate Store:
  1. Check the information and click Concluir:
