Pix Cielo account management
All Pix payments are linked to a bank account. By enabling Pix Cielo, we create a Pix Cielo account for the merchant, which is presented on the website and app as Cielo S.A. Instituição Financeira. This is an intermediary account for Pix sales, from which the merchant can transfer the balance to the registered bank account.
There are two transfer options from the Pix Cielo account:
- Automatic transfer per sale: sales amounts are automatically transferred to the registered bank account, sale by sale. Additionally, it is possible to access the Pix statement and operation information through the Cielo website or Cielo Gestão app;
*Automatic transfer may take a few minutes after the sale is completed.
- Scheduled transfer (transferência programada): sales amounts are gathered in Cielo digital account and the settlement is made in up to four predefined hours: 6:00 am, 12:00 pm, 5:30 pm, and 10:00 pm.
- 06:00 am and 12:00 pm are optional
- 5:30 pm and 10:00 pm are mandatorory and cannot be changed
- It is possible to ask for an imediate balance transfer, before the scheduled hour. The imediate transfer dos not include receivables originated from Pix keys, bank account or charge payment via app Cielo Gestão, if available.
Scheduled transfer allows for refund operation if there is available balance in the Cielo digital account.

Refunding a Pix sale is allowed only for scheduled transfer accounts
For the refund operation, the merchant must have a balance in the Pix Cielo account.
If the refunding Pix sale values is part of the merchant's operation, manual transfer set up is required.
Important
- Upon enabling Pix Cielo, the automatic transfer per sale option (Gestão Simplificada) is automatically activated. If desired, you can change this option at any time;
- If the merchant chooses scheduled transfer (transferência programada), automatic transfer will be deactivated.
